FASRI Language Center Language Courses For Adults
French Beginner (Level A)
Students will learn present tense as well as how to answer questions, greet people, and use expressions of courtesy. Topics covered: School/ Work Life, Family and Hobbies.
French Beginner (Level B)
Students will develop a wider range of vocabulary that extends beyond talking about personal, everyday life. Students will begin to express themselves in past tense.
French Intermediate (Level C)
Students will communicate in a wide range of topics and learn to express themselves in past, present and future tenses.
French Intermediate (Level D)
At this stage, students have gained all the basics of communication and will be working on reading and writing various types of texts.
French Advanced Conversation
Students will work on communicating both verbally and through written work to increase their comfort of self-expression in French. Points of grammar emphasized as needed.
Arabic Beginner Level 1
Upon completion of this course, students should be able to ask and answer questions in the present tense, greet people and use expressions of courtesy. Everyday life topics include school / work life, family and hobbies. You will also be able to write your first words in the Arabic alphabet.
Arabic Beginner Level 2
As a prerequesite, students already know the Arabic alphabet and are able to use expressions of greeting. Upon completion of this course, students have a wider range of vocabulary and feel comfortable conversing in everyday life situations.
A minimum of 5 students is needed to open a class. Students' level is determined by a short placement test if appropriate.
