FASRI honors its donors and volunteers as Partners in Philanthropy
FASRI was delighted to invite alumni parents Charlie and Cynthia Hewitt and graphic designer Madis Idarand to Rhodes on the Pawtuxet on November 23, 2011 to celebrate them as 2011 Partners in Philanthropy. Organized by the Association of Fundraising Professionals, the National Philanthropy Day event salutes donors and volunteers’ essential contribution to non-profits in Rhode Island.
Charlie and Cynthia’s daughter Olivia started at FASRI in Pre-Kindergarten soon after she arrived in the US after she was adopted from China. Always enthusiastic parents, volunteers, and donors, FASRI is grateful for their loyal support over the years. Both have actively volunteered, Cynthia on the Development Committee from 2006 to 2011 and as Co-Chair of the 2011 FASRI Fund, and Charlie as a board member from 2005 to 2011 and Chair of FASRI’s Technology Task Force. Generous with their time and their treasure, the Hewitts were lead donors in FASRI’s 2011 technology match campaign.
Graphic designer Madis Idarand has volunteered for FASRI since 2007, designing materials for school events such as the Marché de Noël. Madis did great work bringing the school’s logo up to date. In 2011, he designed the visuals for FASRI’s new website, an essential marketing tool for admissions, communications, and fundraising. His experience and skills have made the site fresh, modern, and user-friendly, a real asset for the school. We thank Madis for the many hours he has given to FASRI, for his dedication, talent, and beautiful work.
